Auditions

This year, we are offering two initial auditions dates and a callback date following those! You will only be obligated to coming to one of the initial audition dates, and you can choose which one works best for you! All audition nights will take place in Westbrook Music Building Room 119. For the initial two dates, come by any time between the given hours listed below and we will call you in when we are ready!

First Audition Date: Monday, August 28th from 6:30 - 9 p.m.

Second Audition Date: Tuesday, August 29th from 6:30 - 9 p.m.

Callbacks: Thursday, August 31st at 7 p.m.

Here is what you need to know to show up to auditions completely prepared: 

1. "My Country 'Tis of Thee" from memory in any key you would like!

   • For Soprano and Tenor voice parts, we suggest the key of F Major (Starts on F)

   • For Alto and Baritone/Bass voice parts, we suggest the key of C Major (Starts on C)

   • This selection will be memorized and sung a cappella

2. We may ask to hear a short pop, musical theatre, or contemporary solo as well!

   • The solo should be anywhere ranging from 45 seconds to 1 minute long (A verse and a chorus)

   • Sing it in whatever key you feel comfortable in

   • The song should show off what your voice is able to do! If you have crazy vocal runs, choose a song where you can show us!

   • This selection will be memorized and sung a cappella

3. Show up about 15 to 20 minutes before you want to audition! This gives plenty of time to fill out the form at the front table, and will help us to organize the flow of the auditions!
